Vision & Values
Our Vision is to be a church which lives out Jesus’ Great Commission to make disciples. That’s why our strapline is ‘growing people – together’: because we are committed to growing ourselves and others, together. Disciples are people learning to follow Jesus, becoming more and more like him, doing the kind of things that he did. Disciples put the Kingdom of God first above everything else.
At the moment - and in response to a prophetic word given to the church - we are seeking a fresh move of God by his Spirit among us.
We aim to cultivate the Values of Grace and Truth because this is a key biblical summary (from John 1) of Jesus’ ministry. Jesus invited people into relationship with himself, welcoming and accepting them unconditionally. And as their relationship developed he challenged them to grow and change. That is Grace and Truth in action. Our aim is to mirror the way Jesus lived in the way we handle relationships inside and outside the church. Closely related to this is our desire for a better balance of Being and Doing. We want our activity for God to flow naturally from our life with God.
