Meet some of the people who make our community vibrant and welcoming.

    Elaine Weaver - Associate Vicar

    Alongside her role as Associate Vicar to Christ Church, Elaine is the chaplain to found Charity shop in the centre of our parish. Her passion is sharing Jesus and helping others grow as disciples of Christ. She loves walking, gardening and spending time with her family.

    Kailean Khongsai - Curate

    Kailean is our curate. He has a deep passion for caring for God’s beautiful creation. He loves music and loves to include people in singing together, he loves to see a lot of diversity in church! He also really enjoys cooking, just as much as he loves eating.

  • Sue Arnold - Churchwarden

    Sue is passionate about enabling everyone to get involved and be encouraged to discover their gifts through practical service, both as one of our Churchwardens, and as Volunteer Champion at our charity shop found. She also works to ensure that our buildings are safe. She is married to Dave and enjoys being a grandmother.

    Clive Scowen - Licensed Lay Minister

    Clive is a Licensed Lay Minister and also one of our Churchwardens. On the Leadership Team he ensures that what we do is compliant with the law and church governance. He also looks at how we use liturgy and develop our partnerships. He is an elected member of the Church of England's General Synod. A barrister, he also works as an editor of The Law Reports & The Weekly Law Reports.

    Carol Sormaz - Children, Families & Community

    Carol has been part of Christ Church with her husband and son since 2012 and has served in this role since 2019. She is passionate about helping children and families know Christ. She oversees the children’s work, leads on the Grange Farm Estate, and supports Roxeth Primary School. She also enjoys exploring hidden corners of London and gardening.

    Barbara Kuekes-Patel - Administrator

    Barbara is employed part-time as our Administrator and Personal Assistant to the Clergy. She is focused on facilitating well-organised services and meetings that grow the mission and ministry of Christ Church effectively. Barbara has recently returned to ringing handbells, one of her passions before moving to the UK in 2019. She is married to Raj and has children and grandchildren back in the United States.

    Ron Jeeves - Prayer Ministry

    Ron loves engaging with the wider community to bring about renewal. Originally involved in launching the found charity shop, he continues to be part of CCR’s missional focus to the local community. He seeks to encourage and support relational initiatives, such as Hope Church and discipling workshops. Ron has grown-up children, and recently married Kate; they love to socialise and to host meals at their home. Hope to see you soon!

    Kate (Penman) Jeeves - Chair of Trustees, found Charity Shop

    Kate Jeeves (nee Penman) is Chair of trustees for found Charity shop on Shaftesbury Circle. found plays an important part in our local mission and was founded by Christ church in 2012. It is in the heart of our parish offering an open door to the love of God.
    Kate joined the church in 2023 and has a real heart for people. Nothing brings her more joy than seeing people flourish in being who God created them to be.
    Kate has 2 grown sons from her first marriage and is ‘granny far away’ to two grandsons in Australia. Kate and Ron married here at Christ Church late 2025 and are enjoying sharing life and bringing two lives together in Christ. You may well see them both out walking or in a local pub! Be sure to say hi.

  • Helen Ellis - Pastoral Care Team Co-Leader

    Helen grew up in Sutton Coldfield and became a Christian in her teens through her local Methodist church. She moved to London aged 18 to train as a Nurse and Health Visitor. During her training she married Will, nearly 50 years ago, and they have been at CCR for 30 years. Helen has Street Pastored in Harrow for seven years and enjoys reading, swimming, theatre trips, and loves connecting with people.

  • Will Ellis - Pastoral Care Team Co-Leader

    Will is married to Helen and shares joint responsibility in heading up Pastoral Care in CCR. He worked as a drug research scientist for many years and is now ‘retired’. Has a passion for Churches of all traditions in Harrow praying and working together for God’s Kingdom to come. He enjoys long cycle rides and singing in a choir.  They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren, 4 of which live in South Africa.

  • Jessica Richards - Parish Safeguarding Officer

    Jessica serves as the Parish Safeguarding Officer and has a background in education and safeguarding, which means she’s passionate about helping people feel safe, supported, and included. At home, life is happily busy with her lovely husband Alex, their two children Daniel and Ellie, and budgie Rickby, who likes to think he runs the household. She enjoys cake decorating, getting creative with craft/science projects, spending time in nature, and relaxing with a good movie. She’s also firmly convinced that most church meetings are improved by the presence of cake!

Meet the PCC

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) are the governing body of our church. They work together to see that areas of our church life, such as our safeguarding, finances, and buildings, are well looked after.
